Privacy Policy

Overview

HSK Grammar Wiki (hskcompanion.org) is a free Mandarin Chinese grammar reference. This section explains what data is collected when you visit and how it is used.

Data we collect directly

There are no accounts and no sign-up forms on this site. Browsing the site requires you to provide nothing about yourself.

The one exception is the contact form, which you may choose to use. If you submit it, the name, email address, topic, and message you type are sent to the site owner by email so that your enquiry can be answered. This information is used only to reply to you. It is not added to any mailing list, not sold, and not shared with anyone else. You can avoid the form entirely by emailing [email protected] directly.

Contact form processing

Two services are involved when you submit the contact form:

• Cloudflare Turnstile — a bot check that runs on the contact page to stop automated spam. It assesses signals from your browser to confirm you are a human. It is designed as a privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs and is not used to track you across websites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy .
• Resend — the email service that delivers your message to the site owner's inbox. Your message and the email address you provide pass through Resend in order to be delivered. See Resend's privacy policy .

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard server request data (such as IP address) in order to serve pages and protect against abuse.

Advertising — Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings .

What this site is

HSK Grammar Wiki is a free educational reference for learners of Mandarin Chinese. It is an independent personal project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the official HSK examination programme, Hanban, or the Chinese International Chinese Education Foundation.

Accuracy and no guarantees

The content is written carefully and cross-checked against HSK course materials, but it is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. Grammar explanations are interpretations for study purposes, language use varies by region and register, and errors are possible. Nothing here is a guarantee of exam results. You use the material at your own discretion, and the site owner is not liable for any loss arising from its use or from the site being unavailable.

Found a mistake? Please report it — corrections are prioritised over everything else.

Intellectual property

The explanations, example sentences, illustrations, and exercises on this site are original work and remain the property of the site owner. You are welcome to use them for your own personal study, and to quote short passages with a link back to the source page. Republishing pages wholesale, or reproducing substantial portions of the content commercially or as part of another product, is not permitted without permission — just ask.

HSK is a trademark of its respective owner and is referred to here descriptively, to identify the examination levels the material corresponds to.

• submit unlawful, abusive, or deliberately misleading content through the contact form.
