Meaning

A modal verb before another verb: 'would like to, want to': 我想喝茶 'I'd like some tea'. At later levels it is also a main verb meaning 'to think (of), to miss'.

我想你。 wǒ xiǎng nǐ I miss you.
你想想。 nǐ xiǎng xiǎng Think about this.
我想读。 wǒ xiǎng dú I want to read it.
